Who We Are

The Steel City Dragons organization is made up of individuals and teams dedicated to creating a great dragon boating experience for anyone in the greater Pittsburgh area.

The organization has its roots in a dragon boating team formed in 2002 and formally incorporated in 2005. The current organization operates under a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit corporation, the Steel City Dragon-Boat Association, Inc.

We have a variety of different teams for casual recreational boaters, young boaters (ages 10-17), competitive adults, and breast cancer survivors. Each team has organized practice sessions conducted according to strict safety rules by a trained member of the coaching staff.
