<h1 style="color: rgb(153, 0, 0); font-style: italic;" class="style22">Plan now for Spring training camp</h1>Mark your calendar for the annual Steel City Dragons weekend training camp at Lake Latonka on <span style="font-weight: bold;">April 25-26 2009</span>.
You'll get two full days of individual and group instruction, on-water
workouts, and video analysis. Cost is just $60 for the entire weekend
(optional $5 for a Saturday cookout). Paddlers from other teams are

paddlers are welcome at any Saturday or Sunday practice. If you have

<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" name="rec">Recreational
team - <span style="font-style: italic;">Wrecking
Crew:</span></a>
Our recreational crew is a great way to get started in dragon boating.
We have open practices twice a week, and fun competition at several
local races over the summer.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" name="comp">Competitive
racing
team - <span style="font-style: italic;">Steel City Comp:</span></a>
Our competitive racing crew is are also open to all adults, but
practice at a higher level three times a week in preparation for
several out-of-town races.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" name="youth">Youth
team - <span style="font-style: italic;">Hot
Metal Youth:</span></a> Our
youth team is for boys and girls ages 10-17. They receive the same
high-level coaching as our adult teams, and prepare for races in
special youth divisions.</p>
<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" name="pinksteel">Breast
cancer
survivor team - <span style="font-style: italic;">Pink
Steel:</span></a>
Our Breast Cancer Survivors' team supports breast cancer awareness and
provides a positive athletic community for survivors in the Pittsburgh
region. Survivors' teams are a rapidly growing sector in the world of
dragon boating, with teams like Philadelphia's Hope Afloat competing
and winning all over the world. For survivors, dragon boating offers an
ideal exercise to enhance physical recovery bolstered by a supportive

<p><a style="font-weight: bold;" name="women">Women's
team - <span style="font-style: italic;">Women
of Steel:</span></a> Our women's team competes in
events that have separate all-women's divisions.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: bold;">Corporate/organization
teams:</span> We have
coaches, equipment, and
training programs to develop a team for your organization. Options
range from one or two sessions to a full racing season. Contact us for
details.</p>

less!</h2>
<p>A lower rate of just $50 is now available for anyone
joining the Steel City Dragons for the rest of the 2008 season. This
rate will make dragon boating affordable for just about anyone.</p>

we are:</h2>
<p>The Steel City Dragons organization is a
Pittsburgh-area <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_boat">Dragon
Boat</a> Team. We formed in 2002 and had our first full
competitive season in 2003 followed by 2004-2007 seasons filled with
awards, medals, and growth of new teams. Many more activities are in
the works for the coming years, including lots of racing at all levels
and plenty of casual fun.<br>
