Try dragon boating – it’s easy and free!

paddling2013Our 2015 season has begun and we’re welcoming anyone who wants to try this exciting sport to our on water sessions. Your first session is free and and we have low rates to join.

Pick a time from our schedule and come at least 20 minutes early for sign-in and orientation. If you email us ahead of time at we’ll know to be looking for you.

Golf Fundraiser Big Success!

The 9th Annual Carol Raber Memorial Golf Challenge  was a big success, thanks to sold-out participation from over 100 golfers and our generous sponsors. Our heartfelt thanks go to all of the generous volunteers and sponsors who made this possible.

2015 Hot Metal Youth Program is underway

YouthScrimmage2010LauraMc044-thOur Hot Metal Youth Program for girls and boys ages 10-17 will run for four Saturday sessions (May 30, and June 13, 20, & 27). The entire program costs just $40 and all equipment is provided. The final session includes a race and a pizza party. Register soon, this is a popular program and seats are limited!

Steel City Dragons receives grant from UPMC

The Steel City Dragons received a generous $7500 grant from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) for outreach support, health and wellness community programming, and breast cancer survivor-specific wellness and paddling clinics.

  • Pink Steel 6:30pm Mon & Wed.
  • Everyone: 9:00am Saturday and 5:30pm Sunday. “Boot Camp’ workout at 6:00pm Mon., Tues., Wed., Thurs.

Hot Metal Youth program
